Meeting of the Cyprus NOC Executive Committee with Mr Spyros Kapralos

 «Common Course of the Olympic Committees of Greece and Cyprus»

The assurance that the Cyprus NOC and the Hellenic NOC follow a common course was given by the president of the Cyprus Olympic Committe Mr Ournios M. Ionnides and the President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee Mr spyros Kapralos on friday the 20th aftrenoon during a private visit of of the Greek Presdient in Cyprus. The meeting was held at the Cyprus NOC offices at the Olympic House between the two presidents and the Members of the Cyprus Olympic Executive Board. During a special meeting of the Executive Committee Mr Kapralos stated ''like so many years in the past Cyprus and Greece had o joint course. the same joint course will be folloed between the two National Olympic Committees''

During the meeting the two parties exhange ideas and views about the Olympic Movement in Cyprus and confirmed thier willingness for a closer colloboaration at all levels. Both parties discussed thorougly ways to collaoboarte closer ogether especially in issues related to the Olympic Academy, the dissimination of olympic ideals and the participation in International sport competition where the need for streamlining their efforts is needed.

a closer collaboartion between the two NOCs will make all greeks all over the world feel more proud said the president of the Cyprus NOC Mr Ouranios M. Ioannides while Mr Kapralos expressed his satisafaction for the favourable prospects for materialising the objectives set. Mr Ouranios Ioannides invited Mr Kapralos to come in Cyprus and watch the XIII Games of the Small States of Europe. Finally they have sheduled officail vists in Greece and Cyprus in order to put in practice specific actions for the coomon course that the two NOCs will follow.
