The Cyprus NOC Congratulates Kyriacos Ioannou

The President and the Members of the Executive Committee of the Cyprus NOC congratulate publicly our High Jump Champion, Kyriacos Ioannou for winning the Silver Medal in Torino 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships. His new success in Torino is another confirmation of his great potentials which rank him among the top world high jumpers. The Bronze medals he won in Osaka 2007 World Athletics Championships and Valencia 2008 World Indoor Championships respectively along with his new achievement prove his continuing progress.

The Cyprus NOC wishes Kyriacos Ioannou even greater successes in the competitions which will follow in 2009 and congratulates at the same time his coach Demitris Efthymiou as well as all those who support the athlete in his efforts.
